Plan Ahead and Prepare Your Estate.

It is common place for people to have two wills prepared, depending on the assets owned. Please note you will need one will to cover your movable estate (e.g. cash) and should you own any immovable estate (e.g. land) you will also require a further will to deal with your freehold property. It is prudent in Jersey to draft separate wills of movable and immovable estate as the wills are registered in different places following your death.

Please note that only one voucher will be required per person for both wills. Please see 'Fine Print' for further details.

No matter how large or small your estate, there are important reasons for preparing a will. For example, a will provides certainty for your loved ones at a time of sadness and ensures that your estate is distributed in accordance with your wishes.

It is vital that wills are drafted and executed in accordance with Jersey Law and homemade wills should be treated with caution. Therefore it is advised that you should always consult a lawyer to prepare and advise on your wills.

The Fine Print

With this voucher, the cost of a simple will is £280+gst, instead of £400+gst, saving you £120+gst. Please note that where you own land a second will should be prepared and our fee for the cost of two simple wills is £560+gst, instead of £800+gst, saving you £240+gst. The GST will be added in addition to the cost.

Kindly note that this Quidsin offer is only valid in relation to simple will drafting and fees for more complicated instructions will need to be agreed with Le Gallais & Luce.

In the event that your will instructions are not straightforward, Le Gallais & Luce reserve the right to charge additional fees on a time spent basis which will then still have a 30% reduction in cost.

In order to comply with the will writing process Le Gallais & Luce will need confirmation of your identity and address, therefore, when you attend at their offices please bring your original passport or driving licence as proof of your identity and one original utility bill under 3 months old as proof of your residential address.
